Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo) today spoke out against the so-called “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.”

Speier also offered the final amendment or “Motion to Recommit” that would have amended the bill to prohibit any federal agency—namely the IRS—from accessing a woman’s private health records in cases where victims of rape or incest get an abortion.
