WASHINGTON, DC- Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo) today issued the following statement on House passage of the JOBS Act, a bipartisan package of six bills dedicated to helping small businesses get access to capital and create jobs:
“This jobs bill is a bipartisan compromise that, while not perfect, will help remove barriers to business investment and development. It will help Bay Area entrepreneurs and innovators launch new businesses that can grow, thrive, and most importantly hire.
“My colleagues on both sides of the aisle recognize that start-up companies are a key part of nurturing our economic recovery. Passing the JOBS Act is the first of what I hope will be more bipartisan steps by this Congress to support job creation and to encourage the return of good manufacturing jobs to America.”
