Washington, D.C. – In light of the recent sexual misconduct cases at Lackland Air Force Base, a Congressional delegation, consisting of three members of the House Armed Services Committee, will visit the installation on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The delegation will meet with base leadership, military legal advocates, special investigators, training instructors, and trainees to gauge the impact that the investigations and prosecutions are having on base personnel and trainees. The delegation will also seek to determine what Lackland leadership is doing to address sexual misconduct cases moving forward.

Following the visit, the delegation will be available to take questions from the press and discuss their trip.
